Rob Sherman

Rob graduated from the University of Arizona with a Business Degree in 1978. After spending a summer managing Glacier Bay Lodge in Alaska, Rob moved to the warmer waters of Antigua in the fall of 1978.

For two years, Rob ran the Curtain Bluff Hotel as its Resident Manager, before accepting an offer to be the General Manager of the Cotton Bay Club in Eluthera, Bahamas. In 1981, Rob moved back to Antigua in order to act as Managing Director of the Mill Reef Club, where he stayed until returning to Curtain Bluff, this time as Managing Director of the luxurious 72-room hotel, internationally recognized as one of the best small resorts in the world.

Rob is Trustee of the Caribbean Hospitality Training Institute (CHTI), Past Treasurer and Vice President of the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA). He is also designated by the American Hotel and Motel Association as a Certified Hotel Administrator. In the past, Rob has acted as Chairman of Antigua Sailing Week and Chairman of the Antigua Hotel and Tourist Association. In addition to managing Curtain Bluff, Rob also sits on various Civic Boards at Banks, Schools and the local Hospital.

Jeff Hadeed

Jeff graduated from the University of Florida in August of 1985, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Marketing). He took 1 year off from University to work in St. Maarten, managing a family business (1982-83), before moving to Italy to study fashion design at the Istituto Marangoni. Upon his return to Antigua & Barbuda, Jeff resumed management of another family business, a garment manufacturing company, while simultaneously working as a bartender at the Big Banana Holding Co., a restaurant franchise he now owns (since 1987) with his sister and younger brother. During the last 23 years of his working career, Jeff opened the Big Banana Airport Restaurant and “the beach” restaurant. He has also been involved in property management and real estate sales, including negotiating the sale of 2 private villas, which he now manages on behalf of famed Italian designer, Giorgio Armani.

With the purchase of the property at Falmouth Harbour, Jeff and his partners incorporated ROLS Ltd., the real estate development firm responsible for the design, construction and sale of South Point. In order to facilitate the sourcing, importing and distribution services required by his affiliated businesses, Jeff soon developed Next International Ltd. Today his companies are responsible for the direct employment of over 160 persons.

Jeff has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean, USA, Canada and Asia, and regularly attends trade conferences and fairs in various industries including furniture and design, construction, tourism and travel, hotel and restaurants, real estate and fashion. He also served as Antigua and Barbuda’s Consul General to Italy from 2003 to 2004.

 

Financing

The project is financed by equity, debt financing from the Antigua Commercial Bank (ACB), and unit sales. The eleven remaining units are being sold as condominium units each having separate legal title.
